‘Kahu Retreat’ is situated on a quiet residential estate on the outskirts of the town of Nairn. The property is within easy walking distance of both east and west beaches, Culbin Forest and Nairn Dunbar Golf Club.



'Kahu retreat' is an attractive and modern detached bungalow completed in 2005.

The property is situated on a quiet crescent with no through traffic. The estate is primarily 'low rise' and very spaced out so there is a real feeling of 'open space'. The property attains all day sunshine and is not overlooked. Currently there is no development to the rear of the property so there is local wildlife in abundance. NB THERE IS PLANNED DEVELOPMENT SO THIS SITUATION COULD CHANGE AT ANY TIME! Please ask if you have any concerns in this area.

The house itself is fully equipped with all 'mod cons' to include, Widescreen LCD Digital Television, HDD Recorder, DVD player, PlayStation 2, 8mb fast broadband connection with 'guest access' via a Sony widescreen PC (Windows Vista).



There is a large and varied availability of DVD’s, Books, PS2 Games etc and a selection of board games should the weather preclude outdoor pursuits! Additional Television equipment is located in the master bedroom.

The modern kitchen contains a gas cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster, crockery, glassware, pans and the usual kitchen utensils. The washing machine is also situated here whilst a clothes dryer is located in the garage.

The property will accommodate up to four persons comfortably and consists of two double bedrooms (configuration being one double and one twin). In addition the 'sofa' in the lounge can be converted into an additional bed so accommodation for up to 5 is achievable. The bathroom contains a shower over bath arrangement, toilet, sink and mirror (there is also a separate toilet off the entrance vestibule). An iron and ironing board are also available if required.

Being a modern property it comes well insulated with central heating fitted throughout. There is also a gas fire installed in the lounge.

Off street parking is available for up to two cars (on driveway).
Garage access is available for the storage of golf equipment etc but is not available for car parking. Rear garden is equipped with outdoor furniture and BBQ equipment is available upon request.


This property should be easily accessible for wheelchair users due to the fact that all the accommodation is on one level and there is a flat pathway leading from the drive to the entrance vestibule.




2008/9 Tariff (in UK Pounds Sterling)

Rates for this property range between £295-£495 per week and dependant on season (see table below). Discounts WILL be considered for multi-week bookings (please e-mail for further details)
Rates are 'fully inclusive' with no additional charges to be levied.

Deposit is 20% of the tariff upon reservation acceptance (please note this is 'non refundable')
Cost per week is irrespective of number of people in residence and includes gas, electricity, towels and bedding.
Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday with check in being at or after 2pm and check out at or prior to 10 am.
Payment via cheque, UK draft or PayPal (credit cards via PayPal system)
Please be advised this property is NOT suitable for pets of any kind and is NON-SMOKING
